Disability Games 2011

Thursday the 5th May saw SMA’s Coach Chris Hemstock 5th Dan along with Assistant Coach Natalie Palmer 1st Dan host the Adult Disability Games 2011 at the Sportspark Norwich. The day was arranged by Active Norfolk. Chris Coached different defensive moves on the day, including Shoulder Grab Defence, Neck Grab Defence, Defending against a Hook Punch attack, Dealing with attacks from behind and also Wrist Grab Defence. All the Students familiarised themselves with the techniques very quickly, delivering each Defensive technique to an acceptable standard. More importantly, everyone had a thoroughly good time and went away with a smile on their face. Some photos have been kindly supplied by Active Norfolk.

Being attacked from behind can always be a bit of a surprise, however this Student deals with the situation extremely well indeed !
